Swellchasers TV series | Season 1 | Episode 4: Cape Solander

During Covid, Tim is locked out of travelling both overseas and interstate. Conveniently the East Coast of Australia is confronted by the biggest storm in years that has Tim chasing a wave that exists only an hour from his Sydney home. Cape Solander is notorious for breaking close to the rocks. It’s no wonder it’s labelled the most dangerous wave on the planet. We team up again with local Kipp Caddy (who literally lives around the corner) who is keen to redeem himself after a lacklustre trip to Europe. He’s joined by a handful of locals and a big wave charger & shaper world renown Dylan Longbottom with his 16 years old daughter Summa Longbottom who attempts to surf the place for the very first time.
For days Tim endures the frustrations of chasing the swell up and down the east coast for little reward. Finally the Gods look like they will be smiling on the final day of the swell, but not so much for the young 17 year old female surfer Summa.
