Tim Bonython had the opportunity to work as part of the production filming team of the upcoming (2015) blockbuster Point Break, directed by Ericson Core.

Production unit director, Phil Boston liaise with us in the search of an enormous wave, that will see the surfer wiping out. We submitted James’s wipeout shot by Tim Bonython at Pedra Branca. It has now been revealed and the shot is used in the movie.

Story behind Pedra…..

We are stoked for James to be part of this Hollywood film as this wave has been to date his worse wipeout. He nearly didn’t make it back. He actually came back from hell. Several fractures, tears, ear drums burst… Rather an terrifying moment.

At this point in time, we don’t know in which part of the story James Hollmer-Cross wipeout will be used. It is everyone’s guess. Could it be the last shot of the movie, when daredevil Bodhi avoiding an FBI arrest, ride his last wave?
